POETRY: The Strength of a Giving Heart

The giver, they call you, misunderstood soul,

With hands that reach out, a heart that’s whole,

To love so deeply, to give and to share,

In a world where few even dare to care.

True meaning is love, you know it well,

In every gesture, every story you tell.

It’s not about loss or being unseen,

But the empathy you hold, so pure, so keen.

To put another before your own need,

Isn’t weakness, it’s the strength to be freed.

A gift wrapped in kindness, soft as a dove,

For true meaning in life is to give and to love.

Some see it as foolish, this path you embrace,

But they can’t grasp the joy in what you create.

For you, it’s not sacrifice, it’s not pain,

It’s the way your soul dances, in love’s sweet refrain.

You walk in a world where others might doubt,

Yet your light shines on, never burning out.

To love more than self, to give without end,

Is to live with a purpose, to truly transcend.

In moments of silence, when the world feels cold,

Your warmth is the comfort that others hold.

And though they may question, or fail to see,

The depth of your giving, the strength to be free.

So keep giving, keep loving, stay true to your way,

In your heart lies the light that guides the day.

For to love more than self is the rarest of art,

And that gift, dear giver, is the strength of your heart.

Let them wonder, let them speak,

But you know your truth, you are not weak.

For the love you give, in all that you do,

Is the truest reflection of the soul within you.
